21 Day Health Challenge! Get Ready!
Yesterday I started off the day in a fine fashion! I went for my “powerwalk” with Shandog, and my energy was on high so we flew through the walk. When I got home, my wife Liza and I went to see a movie (haven’t done that for a while)…and while there I had some popcorn and m&m almonds (but no pop…lol…day 21 without pop I think). After that we had a party to go to at a bowling alley for my dear cousin. Well, we got there, and I was famished because I hadn’t really eaten anything…so I ate a Coffee Crisp chocolate bar. Then pizza came, and then we top it off with ice cream cake from Dairy Queen (but no pop…lol!) Healthy food is never handy at these places…you have to prepare…and I was not prepared.
So as I was driving home last night I reflected on my actions (it started off so well…but then slid downhill) and what I ate that day, and I was suddenly overwhelmed with disgust for myself. I mean I generally eat pretty well, but then it is all too easy to just eat CRAP! So I decided that when I woke up today, I would officially launch MY 21 day health challenge (for myself). No more room for wussies! It was time to just do it! Yes, I have lost 30 pounds over the past year and a bit…but I plateaued and was just hovering around 220…because I had become satisfied with my accomplishment. But when I was walking across the bowling alley in a white t-shirt that glowed under the black lights, and I saw my gut pressing out against it I sounded realized that I was not happy where I am! It is time to go to the next level…down. And I know that by doing this I will not only lose weight, but I will feel better and better as I detoxify my body…and get more and more energy!
So what I will do is record every detail of my next 21 days, and when those 21 days are over, I will share those with you. I also have made a set of coaching/support short videos 2 – 5 minutes long that I will send to those who are interested in changing their lives when they embark on their own health challenge in 3 weeks time! They will get one every day of those 21 days…and then they will continue at a more moderate pace for at the least the next 6 months. This is for people who are tired of being tired! Who want to live more to their potential. Who want to learn how to help themselves heal, and help themselves feel better. Usually there is a nominal fee for this cool program, but I may let the first group of people do it for free (or at some crazy discount) … I haven’t made up my mind about that yet. But I will tell you the coaching is powerful, educational, motivational…and you are MUCH more likely to actually follow though and keep going if you have a partner spending time with you every single day who wants with all their heart to see you succeed! Having a partner to encourage you when you feel like giving up is priceless.
So over the next 21 days I will begin to prepare you for your own health challenge. I will start sharing actual food tips…what to eat, what not to eat; what should we drink; snack on; exercises; meditations; what to think about…many tools that will allow you to change your life. Then I will officially lauch the 21 day Health Challenge for all of you (should you accept this challenge)….and you can share your stories, questions, successes, challenges…every day … and you can have someone with you every step of the way. I want to share everything I have learned from my mentors over the years that has helped me bring myself back to life, so that you don’t have to go through what I went through.
I weighed in at 222 lbs this am. I actually don’t do this with the main goal of losing weight…but I know that when I do this I will trim and strengthen my body. I will also take some measurements of my waist ect, because often the story is told in inches lost, not just weight lost, as you redefine your body. Get healthier from the inside out! Be preventative rather than simply trying to treat the problem after it occurs.
Ladies and gentlemen…this is about a life style…a choice of how we live. We can all do it. Yes, every single one of us. Let me be your guide, and together let’s do this!
